My family consists of me, my husband, and our three young boys, ages 5, 3, and 1. We live in a beautiful part of Idaho and enjoy all things outdoors (particularly hiking, mountain biking and snowboarding/skiing).
Other things I enjoy are coffee, chocolate, fitness, reading, cooking, and spending time getting to know new people! I want to follow Jesus’ example by loving others more and am trying to live more intentionally in everything I do.
I recently had my third baby boy and have been working hard at making our home a place where we can live a slower-paced, healthy lifestyle. I am trying to reduce my family’s exposure to harsh chemicals and other harmful things (although we are
not always 100% natural, we are heading in a better direction), and to cut back on our consumption. I’m making more things from scratch, using more local products, and simplifying the way we live.
One of my main focuses on this blog will be to share my experiences and teach you how to make your own natural products that you and your family can use every day! It’s been a way we have saved money, contributed to less consumerism and become healthier. I also really love the formulating process as it’s a great creative outlet for me, and I want to share what I learn with all of you!
I recently lost my father to suicide, resulting from alcoholism and depression, and I plan to share more about that as I feel comfortable and gutsy…stay tuned for more thoughts on that.
And be ready for other topics and ideas related to simple living. I also love hearing from you and starting new conversations so feel free to connect on my contact form!
